hair-sickles 头发冰

one of our most recent endeavors put me in touch with my frozen side!

while “hanging out” outside waiting for our taxi friend to pick us up i caught a glimpse of our helper. so i rushed over to her to give her a quick howdy thinking our taxi would arrive any moment. i was taken off guard when i saw water beads on her eyelashes, eyebrows and ice in her hair! of course, as soon as i exclaimed my surprise she began to wipe them away. i convinced her to stop just long enough to shoot this picture! now that’s what i call a cold bike ride to work!

unfortunately, our taxi friend left us “hanging” a little longer than expected and i had my first real frost bite… my wet hair (i know i’m an idiot!) froze! for my defense i’ll claim stupidly that i thought i was literally walking outside & getting straight into a taxi. now we know what 10 minutes of -14 degrees F will do to wet locks!

in fear that they would break off, i began warming them up with my hands & eventually my hair thawed. whew… close call!

  1. You are so brave to go outside with wet hair! I think you are really accustomed to the cold weather! How will you ever live in H town again?
