imprisoned… follow-up

{backstory: imprisoned}

i’m happy (& oh-so-thankful!) to report that things have lightened up here!

the new guards have relaxed a bit since their first days on the job.

this sort of crazy-over-the-top scrutiny and adhering to a strict (& often unwritten and counter-productive) code of ridiculousness conduct tends to happen when there’s a shift in management… or in our case, a shift in management and the replacing of gate guards.

poor guards. who can blame them? they were new on the job… surely trying to impress their employer… and they were merely following orders. albeit, insane orders, but orders none-the-less.

so now that the hoopla is over i’m happy to report that we’re in good standing with the new guards… who now unlock and open the gate for us when we’re leaving and coming. niiiiiice.

and i’m ecstatic to report that our friends no longer have difficulty getting into our “compound” for a visit.

of course, all of this good standing has been made possible by none other than our own pair of adorableness who politely say “thank you” with a wave, or at least, in liberty’s case, a cursory glance their direction.

too bad the landscaper still isn’t in good standing with the guards… they’re a nifty bunch to have on your side…

plus, i would seriously appreciate the added bonus of a well groomed courtyard.

  1. Wow. This is a nice little detail to know. I can only imagine how it would feel to be denied access to my own home, even if only momentarily. So I\’m glad things are relaxed and working out well. Kids are a blessing in more ways than I realized.

  2. It’s nice to be able to keep up with y’all thru your blog. I call it your Facebook wall. 😉 I deleted my Facebook account and am happy to have done so. I might maybe possibly make a blog for sharing family stuff like y’all. We’ll wait and see.

  3. Great to hear things have gotten better at the gate. And of course, who can resist two of the most precious little beings there are on the face of the earth? ❤ You hit the nail on the head when you said "in Liberty's case, a cursory glance their direction"! That is one little girl that is not very impressionable easily. LOL Love you all!!!!
